By using sparkling white wine, diet soda and club soda, you can cut the calories, but not the taste in this Skinny Girl Sangria.

A funny thing happens when people learn you like to cook and that you have a food blog/website. You have a gaggle of taste-testers waiting for a bite to sample. Well, since I’ve been doing this for a couple years, my friends have been my guinea pigs and my best critics for my cooking. Well, second to my MAIN critic- the Hubs.
My preschool posse, the moms whose kids went to preschool with my youngest, the Princess, have my most vocal group in showing interest in my cooking! They’ve sampled cookies and cupcakes. Some would get small care packages and others would come over for dinner.
But I kept promising to my ladies come over for lunch. One day.
And with our youngests in kindergarten this year, the time was right.
The menu included:
Pumpkin Hummus
Baked Brie Puff Pastry Purses
Cheesy Crab Stuffed Mushrooms
Tomato and Pesto Pizza
Shirazi Salad
Raspberry Cheesecake Brownies
To wash it all down, we indulged with Skinny Girl Sangria. Yes, the Desperate Housewives of NYC girl. So what????
We laughed. We ate. We told funny stories. We promised to get together again for lunch. It was awesome.

And for those that didn’t get invited, I promise I will get everyone at my house eventually! Don’t be jealous!
I will post the rest of the recipes as I get around to it. Our refrigerator is dying a slow painful death and is seeking replacement. Not to mention that our big tv died over the summer and still needs to be replaced.
Oh, and my office is a disaster.
Again.
My to-do list runneth over….

Isn't it funny how the friends flock? I see lately, my neighbors "happen" to stop by right after they smell me cooking something.. HMMM?
Love your dishes, YUM!
Hmm, I would happily be a critic judging by these photos;-)
