Barbeque Pork Country Style Ribs
Here's an easy recipe that delivers you tender, sweet country style ribs even without a barbeque. Recipe by Family Spice
Ingredients:
- 3 1/2 cup barbecue sauce, homemade or store-bought
- 3 bay leaves
- 1 tsp mixed peppercorns
- 5 garlic cloves
- 1 onion, quartered
- 4 lb country-style pork ribs
Instructions:
- Trim away excess fat from:
- 4 lb country-style pork ribs
- Put ribs in an 8-quart stock pot and add enough water to cover.
- Add to the ribs:
- 1 onion , quartered
- 5 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp mixed peppercorns
- 3 bay leaves
- Cover the pot and bring to a boil over high heat.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, uncovered, for 1 hour.
- Remove the ribs and put in a large bowl.
- Coat ribs with:
- 3 1/2 cup barbecue sauce , homemade or store-bought
- At this point, the ribs can be refrigerated until ready to finish cooking.
- To cook in the oven, preheat oven to 350ºF.
- Place ribs in one layer onto a lightly oiled pan, cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.
- For the grill, cook for approximately 20 minutes over medium heat, turning the ribs frequently. Keep a water bottle handy in case of flare ups from pork drippings.
- Baste the ribs and continue cooking for 10 more minutes, again continually turning the ribs every few minutes.

Cooking Tips: You can also use this technique with baby back ribs. Bake for 45 mins. on 350ºF.
