I am sooooo very excited to post this next line: Ahem! Ladies and gentleman Family Spice is so happy to choose one of the recipes for October’s Barefoot Bloggers! Yeah! Most of us are experiencing the change of weather, the shorter days, the cooler temperatures. Even San Diego nights are nippy again, of course, San Diego nights are nippy almost every night! So why not curl up with a bowl of Ina Garten’s East Hampton Clam Chowder!
My family loves soups. And I love making soups for them. But, I’m not a big soup eater. There are exceptions and chowder is one of them. I was apprehensive to try this version, with carrots and celery because I love the classic New England Chowder so much. Would it measure up?
I made this for my hubby’s birthday dinner party and had my usual dozen or so taste-testers ready to give me their honest opinion (as family can only do!) and the vote was unanimous.
This is some seriously good chowda!
Me, the non-soup eater, LOVED it. My little Princess, who never ate clam chowder before, loved it too! She is my daring eater and wasn’t put off by the clams. That’s my girl!
I hope you will like it, too! For the full recipe for East Hampton Clam Chowder, click here!
