Simple Lilac Syrup

Fresh lilacs are not only fragrant, but they are also edible. Be sure to use organic pesticide-free lilacs.

Spruce up you cocktails, mocktails or baked goods with this delicious and aromatic lilac simple syrup.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED: • Water • Granulated sugar • Lilac blossoms • Blueberries (for color)

Remove stems and leaves from lilac blossoms. Gently rinse blossoms in a fine mesh strainer and reserve

Add water and sugar in a small pot, whisking until sugar is dissolved. Bring to boil then add blossoms.

Add blueberries and simmer for 20 minutes.

Strain out the solids and let the syrup cool.

Allow syrup to cool to room temperature than transfer to a jar or bottle.
