Homemade Olive Bread


This kalamata olive bread with fresh rosemary is a fabulous bread for any olive lover!

Yeast All purpose flour Sugar Rosemary Salt Extra virgin olive oil Kalamata olives

Mix together yeast and warm water. Let it rest until yeast is foamy.

In a larger bowl combine flour, sugar, rosemary, and salt. Add a well in the center and add olive oil.

Add foamy yeast mixture and use a fork to combine everything together.

Using well-floured hands, continue to mix dough until a rough ball is formed.

Turn dough onto lightly floured work surface and knead adding in chopped olives as you work.

Place dough ball onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and place in a warm area to rise until it doubles in size.

Brush with olive oil and bake at 400ºF (204ºC) until bread is golden.
