Bolognese Pasta Bake

Whether you have a family to feed or are single and new to cooking, this bolognese pasta bake is an easy and delicious meal!

• Onion • Carrot • Celery • Italian sausage • Garlic • Extra virgin olive oil • Diced tomatoes • Tomato paste • Dried basil • Dried parsley • Rigatoni • Heavy cream • Parmesan • Mozzarella • Salt

In a large Dutch oven over medium high heat, add olive oil and sauté chopped onions, carrot and celery. Cook until softened.

Add Italian sausage and break it down with a wooden spoon. Continue cooking and browning the meat until cooked thru and in crumbled pieces.

Add salt and garlic, then stir in tomato paste, diced tomatoes, dried parsley and dried basil.

Simmer for 15 minutes.

Add water and salt then bring to boil. Once boiling, stir in pasta. Reduce heat to medium, cover the pot and cook for 10 minutes.

Stir in heavy cream and parmesan.

Transfer to a casserole dish and spread pasta and sauce evenly.

Top with parmesan and mozzarella. Bake at 350ºF uncovered until bubbly top is lightly browned, about 30 minutes.
