Step-by-step recipe directions

1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. This is where your chocolate dipped skeleton bones will sit and harden.

2. The bones are assembled by attaching to mini marshmallows onto the each end of a pretzel stick.

3. In a double boiler, stirring frequently melt the white chocolate or candy melts over simmering water. For white chocolate be very careful not to use high heat as it will ruin the chocolate and you will have to start again.

4. Dip each marshmallow laden pretzel rod into the melted chocolate and coat completely. Use a fork to maneuver and turn the bones.

Expert Tips and Recipe FAQS

The hardest part about this recipe is melting white chocolate. It can be tricky. So be sure to not melt the chocolate over high heat but over simmering water. Use a rubber scraper to stir and melt the chocolate and keep it smooth.
