Party Guacamole & Chips

Nothing says a party like a bowl of guacamole! Recipe by Family Spice

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Cut in half:
    • 3 avocados
  2. Using a sharp knife, gently strike the avocado seed with your knife, lodging the knife into the seed.
  3. Holding the avocado half in one hand, use your other hand to turn the knife/seed and pull the seed out of the flesh.
  4. Score the avocado halves with your knife in both directions. Make sure you do not pierce the skin.
  5. Use a spoon to scoop out your avocado pieces and put in serving bowl.
  6. Mash avocado with fork until smooth.
  7. Add to the bowl:
    • 3 garlic cloves , crushed
    • 2 tsp lime juice
    • 2 TBS cilantro, fresh , diced
    • 0/0 TBS jalapeño pepper , seeded and diced
    • 1 small tomato , diced
    • 1/4 tsp salt
    • 1/8 tsp black pepper, ground
  8. Combine and serve. Cover and refrigerate if serving later. Lime juice will keep the guacamole from turning brown.
